Athinaiki Metaforiki SA - ATHINAIKI

Athinaiki Metaforiki SA, founded in its current form in January 2010, is the evolution of Athinaiki Ltd operating since 1969 in the Greek market of national forwarding and distribution of general cargo. It is a family owned, privately operated business currently occupying more than 100 employees, in its 7 nationwide branches.

The main center of distribution and offices are in Magoula Attiki, near Athens, while the rest of the branches are strategically positioned in other cities providing through these branches 80% coverage of the national commercial market, while the rest is covered through a network of dedicated agents in more than 30 cities across the country. Athinaiki Metaforiki SA’s main business object is nationwide forwarding and delivery services, and while growing in the last 3 years at a rate of more than 15% per year - in a negative local economic environment, their objective is to establish a broader network of low scale branches throughout the country, in order to provide better, faster and more cost efficient services to their customers. At the same time they seek strategic partnerships with firms of the broader transportation and logistics market and also solid business relations with both international and local clients. Athinaiki Metaforiki SA brings a whole new vision of personal commitment to transport, logistics, green routes and freight forwarding challenges. Athinaiki Metaforiki SA’s basic goal is to reduce its ecological footprint including this goal to the company’s strategic SCR politics. Recently the company initiated a new department for EU projects aiming to reach the EU area.
