Public consultation launched on the future of transport

The Commission launched a public consultation on the future of transport to allow both stakeholders and citizens to comment and identify their priorities. The consultation will be open until 23 September. It will enable the Commission to better understand how the EU can help the sector become more sustainable and competitive, more modern and resilient to crises.

Commissioner for Transport, Adina Vălean said: “We are encouraging our citizens and stakeholders to take part in the public consultation we are launching today. Mobility is a key priority and our new strategy aims at creating a crisis-proof transport system for us and for the generations to come. We shall start from recovery and build on this foundation a solid structure, fit both for the challenges and advantages of a more digital and green future.”
