​The first of these projects is the Horizon 2020 project called "Buyzet". This developed zero-emission procurement plans for each of the consortium's cities. The second project, which has also recently concluded its activities, is SULPiTER (supported by Interreg's Central Europe Programme). The project examined logistics and transport in seven European cities in order to identify best practices in the field of urban goods distribution.

Who is liable for self-driving vehicles?

The European Parliament and the Council today reached provisional agreement on a Regulation setting, for the first time in the EU, strict CO2 emission standards for trucks.

Today's deal follows the agreement reached in December on new CO2 emission standards for cars and light vans in the EU for the period after 2020.

Clean mobility: Putting an end to polluting trucks. Commission welcomes first-ever EU standards to reduce pollution from trucks

The European Commission welcomes the provisional agreement reached by the European Parliament and Council on the LIFE programme for the Environment and Climate Action, as part of the next long-term EU budget 2021-2027.

The funding will focus on protecting the environment and mitigating climate change, supporting a clean energy transition with increased energy efficiency and a higher share of renewables in the energy mix. This will be one of the tools enabling the EU to meet its climate goals and seek to become climate-neutral by 2050.

EU budget for 2021-2027: Commission welcomes the provisional agreement on funding for the environment and climate action

The European Parliament today agreed on CO2 emission standards for new cars and vans in the EU for the period after 2020 – a significant step towards decarbonising and modernising the European mobility sector and put the EU on track to become climate neutral. As a result of the new rules, in 2030, emissions from new cars will have to be 37.5% lower and emissions from new vans 31% lower, compared to 2021.
